Scholarships

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ offers a range of scholarships – School, Alumnae and Foundation – to assist girls from all backgrounds to benefit from a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ education. Scholarship applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ's caring community welcomes people of all backgrounds, and students with Indigenous Australian and Torres Strait Islander heritage are encouraged to apply.

Scholarship applicants do not need to submit a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Application for Enrolment form in addition to the Scholarship application process.

Foundation (means-tested) Scholarships for entry in 2025

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ seeks to offer transformational educational experiences. The ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Foundation administers a number of means-tested scholarships in order to create additional opportunities for girls who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend the School.

In 2025, the following ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Foundation Scholarships will be available for students.

The DalCorp Scholarship is available for students, preferably commencing in Year 7. It covers tuition fees for the duration of the student’s schooling at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ, subject to satisfactory progress in all areas of school life.

The successful applicant must demonstrate leadership potential, intellectual curiosity, academic and co-curricular aptitude, good character, and values that are commensurate with ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ's ethos.

The Renaissance Women's Scholarship is available for students commencing in Year 7 (Years 9 or 11 will also be considered). It covers 50% of the tuition fees and is awarded at the discretion of the Principal.

The successful applicant must demonstrate academic ability, the characteristics of the Renaissance Woman, values commensurate with the ethos of ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ, co-curricular aptitude, and a sense of purpose through connection to the community.

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Scholarships for entry in 2025

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Inc. Scholarship applications are now open; the closing date is Friday 21 June, 2024.

These scholarships are not granted on the basis of a generational connection to ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ.

1. Barbara Jackson Scholarship (means-tested) – The Barbara Jackson Scholarship provides 50% of academic tuition fees for Years 11 and 12. It is open to ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ students and to external applicants who are in Year 10 in 2024.

This means-tested scholarship is provided by the ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Association in memory of, and with thanks for the extraordinary contribution of, Miss Barbara Jackson MBE, who led ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ for a remarkable 28 years, from 1967 to 1994.

The Barbara Jackson Scholarship will be awarded to a young woman who, through her participation in all aspects of school life, demonstrates considerable effort to their academic studies, as well as active participation in a number of key areas including community service, the arts, sport and leadership.

2. ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Inc. Scholarship – The ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Inc. Scholarship is awarded to a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Senior College student who is in Year 10 in 2024.

The Scholarship provides $5,000 for the recipient in Year 11 and, subject to satisfactory progress in all areas of school life, the Scholarship will be continued for Year 12. This scholarship is granted on the basis of academic achievement (with an emphasis on effort), leadership qualities, an active contribution across all aspects of school life and a genuine service to the School demonstrated by commitment to the School’s motto Ut Prosim, that I may serve. There is no restriction on eligibility; however, the aim is to assist a girl who happily contributes to ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ life, is a person of integrity and who supports the values and ethos of ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ. This scholarship is not granted on the basis of a generational connection to ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ.

The ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Inc. Scholarship provides the runner-up $1,000 in Year 11 and, subject to satisfactory progress in all areas of school life, an additional $1,000 in Year 12.

Applications for the 2025 ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Alumnae Inc. Scholarships must by received by Friday 21 June, 2024.

 

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Scholarships for entry in 2026 are as follows:

Music Scholarships for entry to Year 7 in 2026

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ’s Music Scholarships offer full or part remission of tuition fees, and are offered at the discretion of the Principal on the basis of the audition, the submitted Music Background Form, the scholarship exam results and the interviews that follow. 

Music Scholarship applicants are required to register for the Scholarship Exam as well as submit a Music Scholarship application.

Please note that we do not need Music Scholarship applicants to submit a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Application for Enrolment form at this stage.

Registration for the Music Scholarship is now open.

The Process:

  1. Register for the by Thursday 15 August, 2024. Registration for the Scholarship Test is $115.
  2. Submit a Music Background Form (PDF 362.9KB) by Friday 13 September, 2024.
  3. Sit the Scholarship Test online on Friday 23 August, 2024. Full details will be sent to all applicants by email one week prior to the exam date, including how to sit a practice test online.
  4. If selected, attend a Music Scholarship Audition (by invitation only) at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ on Friday 8 November, 2024. Music Scholarship applicants are invited to read our General Information for Music Scholarship Applicants (PDF 606.5KB) to assist with audition preparation.
  5. Short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview, following the audition.
  6. It is expected that Scholarship offers will be sent to recipients by the end of November 2024.

Please note that we do not require music scholarship applicants to submit a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Application for Enrolment form in addition to the Music Scholarship application process outlined above.

 

Academic Scholarships for entry to Years 7 and 11 in 2026

³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ’s Academic Scholarships offer full or part remission of tuition fees, and are offered at the discretion of the Principal on the basis of the scholarship exam results and interviews that follow.

Please note that we do not need Academic Scholarship applicants to submit a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Application for Enrolment form at this stage.

Registration for the Academic Scholarship is now open.

The Process:

  1. Register for the  by Thursday 15 August, 2024. Registration for the Scholarship Test is $115.
  2. Sit the Scholarship Test online on Friday 23 August, 2024. Full details will be sent to all applicants by email 1 week prior to the exam date, including how to sit a practice test online.
  3. Short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview, and will be advised what to bring to the interview. Please do not send a portfolio to ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ before this stage of the process.
  4. It is expected that Scholarship offers will be sent to recipients by mid-October 2024.

Please note that we do not require academic scholarship applicants to submit a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Application for Enrolment form, nor a portfolio, in addition to the Academic Scholarship application process outlined above.

 

Boarding Scholarships for entry to Years 7, 9 or 11 in 2026

Boarding Scholarships offer full or part remission of boarding fees, and are offered at the discretion of the Principal on the basis of the Boarding Scholarship application (portfolio style, with a means-testing component), and interviews, which may follow.

Registration for the Boarding Scholarship is now open.

The Process:

  1. Submit a Boarding Scholarship Application Form (PDF 407.5KB) by Thursday 15 August, 2024. Boarding Scholarship applicants are expected to demonstrate a commitment to their studies, as well as extra-curricular and community involvement.   2. Short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview, either on site at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ or by Zoom.
  3. It is expected that Scholarship offers will be sent to recipients by mid-October 2024.

Please note that we do not require boarding scholarship applicants to submit a ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Application for Enrolment form in addition to the Boarding Scholarship application process outlined above, nor are they required to sit the Scholarship Test.
