  • A Brief History of Foundation Day - With ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ recently celebrating its 132nd birthday, ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ Archivist (and former Deputy Principal) Mrs Michele Ginswick has produced a fascinating snapshot of the evolution of Foundation Day.
  • A journey into ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ’s past - What was ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ like in the ‘olden days’ and what will it look like 50 years from now? This week, Woodstock debated these questions and more, along with their special guests, Dr Scott, Mr Staker and Mrs Riley.
  • A performance packed with ‘ado’ - ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ’s production of Much Ado About Nothing last week was spectacularly good fun, with fabulously feisty female characters and stand-out dance performances to Abba’s Dancing Queen and Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.
  • Book Week at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ - Book Week at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ was a real page turner, with Woodstock using the wonders of green screen technology to bring their favourite book characters to life, visits from authors and poets, inter-house book quizzes and character parades.
  • Girl Power: Much Ado About Nothing - Longing for love, laughter and plenty of girl power? You’ve come to the right place.
  • Jessie Street Library’s annual luncheon - Ten of ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ’s Senior School students were lucky enough to attend the Jessie Street Library’s annual luncheon with guest speaker, Kate McClymont, at NSW Parliament House recently.
  • Keep calm and collaborate - Collaboration brings fresh ideas and new perspectives. Just ask Maths teacher, Mr Little! He’s been working collaboratively with the Science Department to bring data to life for our Year 7 students. And judging by their excitement this week, it’s worked!
  • Peter Pan: Faith, trust and pixie dust - Last weekend, girls in Years 3 to 6 took the second star to the right and flew straight on 'til morning in their magical musical performance of Disney Peter Pan Jr. at Chatswood Concourse theatre.
  • Silver DofE tackle Myall Lakes - The Silver Duke of Edinburgh award is hard work. But our Year 10 students who canoed across Myall Lakes over the holidays, honed their leadership, perserverance, teamwork and communication skills, and formed a new-found appreciation for the great outdoors.
  • Spectacular Science Week - Science Week proved to be lots of fun, with ‘Acts of Random Science’ released daily onto Canvas and a highly engaging and interactive Science Pentathlon which challenged our students to fully embrace this year’s theme of ‘Game Changers and Change Makers’!
  • Speech, speech, speech! - Talk about public speaking with panache! The ability of our Junior School finalists to engage and entertain an audience that included Dr Scott, senior leaders, teachers, parents and peers, was impressive. Judges, Mr Newall and Miss Karsten, certainly found it tough to choose the winners!
  • Student Blog: Knowledge is success - When you are suspended on a rope 60m above the ground in a tight cavernous canyon with a waterfall rushing over your feet, there is very little room for failure.
  • Support Hair Ties for Hamlin - Everyone knows scrunchies are a thing right? Well PDHPE teacher, Miss Minifie, and Year 11 are busily making scrunchies to raise money for the Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation (CHFF). And you can help too.
  • The glass is half full at Hooke House - Our twice-weekly Peer Support groups at Hooke House - led by our wonderful Year 6 students - have been focusing on optimism and resilience, giving our older students an opportunity to guide the younger girls.
  • TOM tests fine minds - Some of our brilliant and creative Junior School thinkers put their collective brainpower to the test recently, competing in the Tournament of Minds (TOM) at Roseville College.
  • Vale Class of 2018 - It has been a long week of celebration and goodbyes as we bid the Class of 2018 a very fond farewell.
  • Year 10 learn about Speedfit - Miss Minifie’s Year 10 PASS students have enjoyed exploring different aspects of physical fitness performance and participation, including a recent visit to the innovative Speedfit gym.
  • Year 10 tackle real data at Quantium - They’re living in the age of Big Data, so our Year 10 students were thrilled to visit Quantium last week to learn how it combines the best of human and artificial intelligence to power possibilities for individuals, organisations and society.
  • Year 11 take their hats off to Akubra - Last week, 54 Year 11 Business Studies students headed off to Kempsey to learn more about the manufacturing process of Australian icon, Akubra.
  • Year 11’s first aid training - While staff at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ are required to complete first aid training, students can also make a difference in an accident or emergency situation if they’re probably trained.
  • Year 9 teach Geography to Woodstock - Geography is a living, breathing subject, as Ms Siebels’ Year 9 Geography students discovered when they brought biomes to life with Woodstock recently.
