Smooth talkers - Comfortable on the negative side once again, ��֭��Ƶ’s Year 9 Archdale Debating team won convincingly against Kincoppal last Tuesday at St Catherine’s. ��֭��Ƶ’s argument against the topic, ‘Overseas adoption should be banned’, won in a unanimous decision by three adjudicators. With Chiara as first speaker, Hayden as second, Lulu third and Nat as the hard-working fourth speaker, Kincoppal’s argument in favour did not stand up to ��֭��Ƶ’s ferocious rebuttal.

Spinning wheels and life stories - On wheels is not always easier, as Year 9 found out when Wheelchair Sports NSW Roadshow demonstrated the tricks and challenges of playing basketball in wheelchairs before letting the girls have a turn.
Stretch of the imagination - Every term, three girls from each of the Years 1-6 are invited to attend the Eureka program run by G.A.T.E. WAYS with specialists’ workshops – usually on science, mathematics or literature.

Taking both track and field - They have been training since the beginning of term on both Wednesday and Friday mornings. And it certainly paid off for twenty-three ��֭��Ƶ athletes from Years 3 to 6 who competed in 49 events at the IPSHA Athletics Carnival at Sydney Olympic Park. Some were competing for the first time, others competed in their fourth successive IPSHA Carnival, all made a huge effort all term and enjoyed the day.
