  • All the leaves are brown… - When our Kindergarten students returned to on-campus learning this term, they were thrilled to discover that the Autumn leaves had fallen, prompting lots of great learning!
  • An Ode to Titration: Winners are Grinners - Our Year 12 Chemistry students recently competed in a closely contested Interhouse Titration competition. And our talented Science Teacher, Ms Horsham penned this ode to them.
  • ANZAC Day: Lest we forget - On Tuesday, ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ commemorated ANZAC Day via Zoom, with a moving Principal’s Assembly for Senior School and the Junior School Prefects leading their peers in a heartfelt Assembly.
  • Can algae change the world? - It may be green and slimy, but algae could be the silver bullet to many of our environmental challenges, as alumna, Maddy Satterthwaite (PY2016) explained to ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ this week.

  • Oh D.E.A.R. ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ - This week, ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ celebrated Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.), with an hour-long Athenaeum Reading Commons where the whole School tucked into their favourite book.
  • Staying fit and healthy at ³ûÖ­ÊÓƵ - As we venture back to school while still facing an extended period of time without structured sport it is increasingly important to maintain our positive approach to staying active and sticking to our exercise routines.
  • Texit: Tasmania breaks away - This term, Year 6 created the world’s newest country by imagining that Tasmania had ‘done a Brexit’. And they spoke to local Federal MP, Mr Trent Zimmerman about the challenges of government.
  • The art of successful communication - This term, Ms Peck’s Year 2 students have been embracing figurative language, making powerful use of alliteration, personification, similes and metaphors to express themselves.
  • There’s no place like home! - The best journeys always lead us home, just ask Year 1! For their PYP unit, ‘Where we are in Place and Time’, they explored this central idea, learning a lot about their mums and grandmas in the process.
